Somewhere in between your first kiss, the silent conversations, hard choices and easy fixes, you two feel deeply in love. And now you're ready to stand before your closest friends and family and say, "I do." I'd be honored to stand with you and officiate your wedding ceremony.
Who am I? I'm Chenin, your Central Oregon wedding officiant. An outdoor enthusiast, mom to two kidults and writer. The first thing my couples always ask is, "How do you say your name?" Chenin is pronounced Shannon.
I have always felt drawn to the sacred spaces found in the wild. For over 25 years, I have served as an interfaith minister and have been fortunate to combine these two callings. This has given me a front-row seat to countless incredible stories of love from couples of all backgrounds, beliefs and spiritual traditions.
Along the way, I've had to pleasure of officiating weddings in some of the most breathtaking locations throughout the Pacific Northwest. From the basalt-carved cliffs and cascading waterfalls of the Columbia River Gorge to the windswept shores of Sparks Lake and the ancient cathedrals of Smith Rock, I continue to be humbled by the awe and magic of it all. And yes, there have been many, many times when I’ve had to blink back the tears.
Above all, your wedding and the landscape that surrounds it is a reflection of who you are as a couple and the life you are creating. It’s my hope that planning your ceremony together will both ease your mind and add to your excitement. Our packages are explained in detail to simplify the process. The stones that inspire our ceremony experiences were shaped over time by the elements, similar to every relationship we celebrate. Before our consultation, you'll receive a questionnaire designed to uncover the details and highlight the adventures that capture the essence of your incredible bond. Your wedding ceremony is just around the corner. It's time for your rehearsal and the gang's all here. Be prepared for some laughter and unscripted shenanigans as we work through any hiccups and fine-tune the details, ensuring everyone feels confident and prepared for your big day.

Retainer and Refunds
A 100. retainer secures your date and is applied to your balance. Any remaining balance is due 30 days before your event or in full if booked within 30 days. If the couple cancels, the retainer is non-refundable. In the unlikely event the officiant must cancel, all payments will be refunded, and alternate clergy will be recommended.
Hike-in destination fees, travel accommodations, and / or mileage fees may apply for some venues and locations.
Marriage License
All persons to be married in Oregon are required to apply for a marriage
license in Oregon regardless of which state they live in.
